A complete mechanical watch movement drawn as an X-ray and keeping real time: the mainspring barrel, a going train of centre and third wheels, a lever escapement with its balance and hairspring, the motion work that divides hours from minutes, and a dial with three hands. The seconds hand ticks once a second because the escape wheel does. Every wheel's angle is the clock times the ratio of the teeth actually drawn on it, so nothing is animated to a rate. #watch #mechanism #clock
